Every day, each of our Care Net Pregnancy Resource Centers receives calls from women and men who are experiencing an unplanned pregnancy, seeking an abortion or from someone who’s struggling to deal with a past abortion decision. Since 1990, our centers have helped thousands of women and men understand more about the situation they face.
We encourage all clients seeking an abortion to consider choosing life for their unborn child. And for those who’ve had an abortion, we gently lead them toward God’s merciful and healing power.
2011 Fellowship Banquet
Our Annual Fellowship Banquet held on November 4th at the Westfields Marriott was a wonderful time of celebration and rejoicing with 395 guests in attendance. The client testimonies, inspiring message by Dr. John Bruchalski, beautiful worship music and ministry update, as well as the video, were a blessing. The powerful plan God laid upon the hearts of the Board and Staff of Care Net PRCs to expand ultrasound services was also impactful. The prospect of reaching more abortion vulnerable women with the life saving technology of ultrasound is truly exciting!
Here are a few highlights shared by Karen Snuffer, Executive Director during her Ministry Update:
Clients Served: Our Directors and Volunteers have the privilege of ministering God’s grace to almost 700 clients including 45 male clients through our expanding men’s ministry
Gospel Presentations: The gospel has been shared 471 times with clients from many different countries and religious beliefs and 38 clients received the gift of eternal salvation through Jesus Christ
Abortion Recovery: 24 women and one man are now walking in the fullness of Christ after receiving forgiveness for their abortion
Sexual Integrity: We have held 88 sexual integrity classes and are partnering with local churches and schools to offer this program to middle and high school students
Those who attended the Care Net PRCs banquet this year heard two amazing client testimonies. Cherry was restored to God and her church after attending our Abortion Recovery Bible Study. She shared a true life experience of God’s grace and redemption. Cherry writes,
“Everything was being exposed—the guilt and shame, the hurt and pain, the denial and anger and frustration, the realization that I was depressed and in need of healing. I discovered characteristics of God that I never experienced before – a new level of intimacy. As the days went by I felt the love of God and knew He had forgiven me.”
Yorvonka shared that, by GOD’s grace, she found Care Net PRCs on the internet after she suddenly lost her job and found out she was pregnant. She said” I was greeted with compassion, caring, and most important to me, a nonjudgmental environment.” The peer counselors at Care Net PRCs prayed with me and provided me with a wealth of spiritual support. I experienced my first ultrasound during my sixth week of pregnancy…. it was from that point on that I was fully able to embrace and freely love the amazing gift God had given me.”
Our Chairman of the Board, Jim Myers shared the Financial Update ministry and what we believe God is calling us to do:
Continue to provide and expand effective programs and services for pregnant women, men and their babies.
Increase the number of women we are serving at those centers by reaching out through effective internet-based advertising and tools
Become the recognized “Go-To” resource in this community for women in need during an unplanned pregnancy.
91% of women who saw an ultrasound chose life for their baby this year through Care Net PRCs. We want to expand medical services so that more abortion-vulnerable women can be given an opportunity to see an ultrasound picture of their unborn baby.
We thank God that $169,000 in gifts and commitments, plus $46,000 given towards ultrasound expansion, for a total of $215,000 raised so far! This is a 36% increase over last years’ banquet giving. We are excited about our plans to convert our Manassas Center to a full medical clinic, hiring and training medical personnel and offering ultrasound services 24 hours per week.
