2011 Walk for Life

It was a beautiful spring day for our Walk for Life, with a nip in the air and the promise of spring rain.  Thankfully, it warmed up a bit as we walked and we did not get rained on.  We had three Walk locations this year: our new location in Warrenton at the Warrenton Aquatic Recreation Facility, in Manassas at Crossway Fellowship and at Sprigg’s Road Presbyterian Church.   242 people came out, walked and showed their support by raising $45,707 in pledges.  We want to thank our sponsors and walkers for your commitment to help us as we serve our communities to protect the life of the pre-born and be a resource to their parents.

We are very grateful for our Church Liaisons who hung posters and distributed pledge sheets in their churches to promote the Walk.  Local businesses like Wegmans, Safeway, Bloom and Harris Teeter donated water and snacks for our walkers and we appreciate the support they gave us.

A special thank you to our Site Coordinators, Holly Jarrett and Laura Clark and all the volunteers who helped with registration, set-up and clean-up, snack and t-shirt distribution, photography, and many others who helped make this a successful walk.  We depend upon our volunteers and you never let us down!  We also want to thank Leading Edge Screen Printing for producing our t-shirts with adorable baby Gavin on them!  Thanks again go to Chick-fil-A who provided us with coupons to pass out to our walkers!

We are blessed to have so many supporters who are helping to bring awareness to the programs and services our centers provide to the communities we serve.  Souls and lives are being transformed as we share the love of Christ with our clients and their families.
